Adam Burtner serves as the Vice President of Government Affairs. In his role, Adam also leads the Chamber’s political action committee and electoral strategies, as well as advocating for the Chamber’s legislative agenda at the Statehouse. Prior to the 金沙游戏app下载大厅, he served as the Executive Director of hunger relief nonprofit HATCH for Hunger, and previously held positions in Former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard's Office of Constituent Services, Hathaway Strategies and Huntbridge Inc. Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Political Science from Wabash College and is a lifelong Hoosier currently living in the Central State neighborhood on Downtown’s Westside.

Aletha is the Director of Indianapolis Economic Development. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority (FHRA), the organization tasked with the mixed-use redevelopment of a former military base into the cultural district known as ‘Fort Ben’ on Indy's northeast side, attracting projects ranging from single and multi-family housing, historic redevelopment and placemaking projects, and a new hotel and library branch.

Aletha is currently a member of SKL Class XLV, an active Urban Land Institute volunteer, and a proud graduate of the Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning. She is passionate about creating great spaces and preserving great places, and continues to seek opportunities to serve and support programs that move the City and State forward.

Anna Rone serves as the Assistant Portfolio Manager for the Entrepreneur Services team, handling day to day operations of BOI’s loan portfolio. After graduating, she spent four years in retail banking and a year as the Executive Assistant for Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County. When not working, Casey is exploring outdoor murals, reading, hanging out with her 15-year-old son, or walking her rescue dog, Einstein.

Danielle is a passionate public affairs professional dedicated to access for all. She is a pragmatic organizer with a demonstrated history in community-oriented advocacy, multi-generational engagement, public relations, service-learning, and secondary and post-secondary educational affairs. She is an innovator skilled in applicable, evaluative mechanisms that are utilized to build better programming. Danielle created a notable educational portfolio comprised of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Public Affairs in Social Change and Innovation from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Danielle complimented her portfolio with certifications in emotional CPR from the Marion County Commission on Youth (MCCOY), in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, and in Anti-racism & LGBTQ+ competencies from Borderland Rainbow Center. Drew Kincius serves as the Regulatory and Permitting Ombudsman, where he helps guide businesses through City of Indianapolis processes related to expanding or changing operations. Since moving to Indianapolis in 2014, Drew has filled numerous leadership and consulting roles focused on brand development, project management, and entrepreneurship. Drew previously managed three coworking spaces: Hinge Bureau, Pin Bureau, and Launch Indy/Union525. Drew is involved in various local entrepreneurship committees and groups including: Forward Cities, Kheprw Institute, 1 Million Cups, and Ivy Tech School of Entrepreneurship.  Drew received a Journalism degree from Indiana University and has been a drummer for various bands in Indianapolis. His responsibilities include course facilitation and one-on-one business coaching. Emily received a Bachelor of Art in Sociology from DePauw University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Akron. Prior to her role at the 金沙游戏app下载大厅, Emily was a defense attorney with the Public Defender of Indiana and in private practice. Emily was also the original hire of a start-up business in Broad Ripple, which took assignments of civil judgments and worked to collect them on behalf of creditor plaintiffs.

Emily McNeil | Project Assistant, Economic Development
Emily serves as the Project Assistant for Regional Economic Development, working with both the Indy Partnership and Develop Indy teams. Prior to joining the Chamber, Emily worked as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Highlands Latin School in Carmel and also as a substitute teacher at The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis. She is a proud graduate of Taylor University with degrees in International Studies, concentrating in Peace, Justice, and Reconciliation; and Music, concentrating in Piano. Emily became an Indiana resident just last year, spending her childhood years in Orlando and then Chicago. She has traveled to 10+ countries in 4 continents, most significantly studying abroad in Ireland for three months and Indonesia for one month. She loves to travel and is very passionate about classical education. Emily currently lives in Fountain Square with her husband Jack.

James is an Eastern Kentucky native that has found his home in Central Indiana. Prior to working for the Chamber, he led a program with American Express that focused on helping with revenue generation and growth for small and medium-sized businesses throughout the southeast United States. A native of the Indy Region, Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and his Masters of Library and Information Science from Indiana University.  In addition to being a liaison to the U.S. Census Bureau and managing the State Data Center at the Indiana State Library, Jeff has served as Research Director for the Cincinnati USA Regional Partnership. Jeff is a long-standing member of C2ER, the Council for Community and Economic Research. Jeff's interests include classic country music, travel, history, architecture and historic preservation.

Working here from 2013-2016, Lisa left to explore a newly created position as the Marketing Specialist at RTV6, where she developed clients programs such as those for the Indy 500, annual Toy Drive, STEM Education Expo, Home Expert Spotlight and Financial Literacy Ed. Prior to her current role, Lisa worked in events, promotions and sponsorship roles in radio at Cumulus Media (WFMS/WJJK) and Emmis Communications (WIBC/HANK/B105/The Fan), producing diverse brands such as the Country Music Expo, Downtown Freedom Blast,  Nurses Among Us Night, and Friends & Neighbors community programs, and was part of a team that lead WFMS to five CMA and two ACM Awards.  Her passion for Indy’s growth and development, and producing creative, informative events for key audiences has led her back to the 金沙游戏app下载大厅. Marlon Webb serves as the Senior Director of Regional Economic Development at the 金沙游戏app下载大厅.  In this role, Marlon leads transactional economic development projects, business attraction efforts and the Global Indy Business Center. Before rejoining the Chamber, Marlon was the Director of Community and Economic Development at the Veridus Group where he successfully managed several economic development and redevelopment initiatives with over 20 communities throughout the State of Indiana. Prior to Veridus, Marlon worked for Develop Indy, the local economic development organization for Marion County/Indianapolis and a business unit of 金沙游戏app下载大厅.  While in that role, he fostered growth throughout Marion County by assisting businesses and neighborhoods in securing investments and packaging deals for continued investment and job growth through various local incentives.  Marlon currently resides in Brownsburg with his wife, Shayla, and two children, Marlon Jr. (MJ) and Zipporah.

She is also responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with all employees and ensuring all compensation and payroll related information are timely processed and kept confidential. Nene is married to Chuks and they have two awesome kids. Originally from Nigeria, Nene enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and watching movies.

Paula VanDeVanter serves as Director of Client Services, directing regional  investment and expansion inquiries and projects through engagement with prospective companies and relevant community partners. She previously served as Manager of Business Development Services, working with state and local officials in the nine-county region to communicate strengths and resources to companies and consultants seeking investment locations, as well as with existing companies and community partners to demonstrate real-life examples of doing business in the Indy region for prospective new companies. Previously, Paula worked nearly two decades for the State of Indiana’s then Department of Commerce – International Trade Division, managing a grant program to assist companies in exporting and educating Hoosier companies on the importance of exporting, across the forty-three-county Central region. She also worked for the Indiana Department of Administration, certifying minority and women-owned businesses. Paula completed the Ball State Indiana Basic Economic Development Course and is a graduate of Oklahoma University’s Economic Development Institute. She is an active member of Indiana Economic Development Association and the International Economic Development Council, and has served on local economic development event planning committees.

Portia Bailey-Bernard, a summa cum laude graduate of IU McKinney in 2017, is the Vice President of Indianapolis Economic Development. Bailey-Bernard most recently served as an attorney at Kroger Gardis & Regis and had previously worked at Barnes & Thornburg. She advised businesses and local government entities with respect to state and local government incentives for economic development projects. Additionally, she assists counties, cities, towns, redevelopment commissions, and other special taxing districts to finance public buildings, infrastructure, and other local public improvements by issuing tax-exempt and taxable bonds. Prior to practicing law, Bailey-Bernard worked for the City of Fishers, Indiana, as a project manager in downtown redevelopment. In that role, she participated in the negotiations and execution of major downtown redevelopment projects in the Nickel Plate District. Additionally, she assisted in the city’s efforts in the expansion of entrepreneurial activities. While an undergraduate at Indiana University, she was a varsity letter winner on the women’s track and field team.

Sidney Ozobu | Project Manager

Sidney Ozobu is the Project Manager on the Indy Partnership team. In this role, he will provide project management assistance with the core service areas of Indy Partnership: Business Attraction, Business Development, Global Indy (international engagement), Talent Partnerships and Research and Data.

Sidney is from the Eagle Creek area of Indianapolis and graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit High School before earning a degree in Media & Public Affairs from IU. His family is originally from Nigeria, and he loves eating traditional Nigerian food as much as possible. He briefly lived in Chicago, post college, and has worked in research/data, marketing/PR and commercial real estate. Sidney returned to the Indy region when he decided to earn his Master's degree from IU’s O'Neil School of Public and Environmental Affairs. There, he earned his MPA (Masters Public Affairs) in Public Management & Policy Analysis.  Sidney’s last position was with IUPUI, where he learned a lot about people engagement and navigating higher education. In his free time, he loves to travel all over the US, attend concerts, spend time with family and friends and go out on the Eagle Creek Reservoir as much as possible. Sidney is very excited to join the team and get started!

Stacia Murphy is a community-centered advocate who gained her experience in project and client management and communications in business and nonprofits for over a decade. Stacia began her career as an evaluation consultant, using qualitative research methods and data analysis as a primary tool for improving capacity and sustainability of organizational programming. As an equity fellow at the Kheprw Institute, a nonprofit with a mission of fostering community agency, Stacia developed and implemented an engagement plan for equity within public transit. She also served as project coordinator for the Indy Community Innovation Lab which crafted new solutions towards economic stability for previously incarcerated individuals and youth aging out of foster care. This collaborative Lab was operated by New York-based EmcArts and three local conveners, Spirit & Place of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis; Groundwork Indy, and the Kheprw Institute with national funding from the MetLife Foundation. Stacia worked with community partners to organize the Equitable Development Assembly, tackling equitable transit-oriented development and gentrification in Indianapolis, along with serving on the Indy Moves Transportation Taskforce for the City of Indianapolis. Currently, Stacia is a PhD candidate in American Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a focus on equity in economic and community development. A musician, she often volunteers with arts organizations to bring her extensive network of leaders, artists, community relationships and creativity to the table. Her energetic, inquisitive son is a driving force of her advocacy.

Aletha is the Director of Indianapolis Economic Development. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority (FHRA), the organization tasked with the mixed-use redevelopment of a former military base into the cultural district known as ‘Fort Ben’ on Indy's northeast side, attracting projects ranging from single and multi-family housing, historic redevelopment and placemaking projects, and a new hotel and library branch.

Aletha is currently a member of SKL Class XLV, an active Urban Land Institute volunteer, and a proud graduate of the Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning. She is passionate about creating great spaces and preserving great places, and continues to seek opportunities to serve and support programs that move the City and State forward.

Drew Kincius serves as the Regulatory and Permitting Ombudsman, where he helps guide businesses through City of Indianapolis processes related to expanding or changing operations. Since moving to Indianapolis in 2014, Drew has filled numerous leadership and consulting roles focused on brand development, project management, and entrepreneurship. Drew previously managed three coworking spaces: Hinge Bureau, Pin Bureau, and Launch Indy/Union525. Drew is involved in various local entrepreneurship committees and groups including: Forward Cities, Kheprw Institute, 1 Million Cups, and Ivy Tech School of Entrepreneurship.  Drew received a Journalism degree from Indiana University and has been a drummer for various bands in Indianapolis. Emily serves as the Project Assistant for Regional Economic Development, working with both the Indy Partnership and Develop Indy teams. Prior to joining the Chamber, Emily worked as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Highlands Latin School in Carmel and also as a substitute teacher at The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis. She is a proud graduate of Taylor University with degrees in International Studies, concentrating in Peace, Justice, and Reconciliation; and Music, concentrating in Piano. Emily became an Indiana resident just last year, spending her childhood years in Orlando and then Chicago. She has traveled to 10+ countries in 4 continents, most significantly studying abroad in Ireland for three months and Indonesia for one month. Emily serves as the Project Assistant for Regional Economic Development, working with both the Indy Partnership and Develop Indy teams. Prior to joining the Chamber, Emily worked as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Highlands Latin School in Carmel and also as a substitute teacher at The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis. She is a proud graduate of Taylor University with degrees in International Studies, concentrating in Peace, Justice, and Reconciliation; and Music, concentrating in Piano. Emily became an Indiana resident just last year, spending her childhood years in Orlando and then Chicago. She has traveled to 10+ countries in 4 continents, most significantly studying abroad in Ireland for three months and Indonesia for one month. Sidney Ozobu | Project Manager

Sidney Ozobu is the Project Manager on the Indy Partnership team. In this role, he will provide project management assistance with the core service areas of Indy Partnership: Business Attraction, Business Development, Global Indy (international engagement), Talent Partnerships and Research and Data.

Sidney is from the Eagle Creek area of Indianapolis and graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit High School before earning a degree in Media & Public Affairs from IU. His family is originally from Nigeria, and he loves eating traditional Nigerian food as much as possible. He briefly lived in Chicago, post college, and has worked in research/data, marketing/PR and commercial real estate. Sidney returned to the Indy region when he decided to earn his Master's degree from IU’s O'Neil School of Public and Environmental Affairs. There, he earned his MPA (Masters Public Affairs) in Public Management & Policy Analysis.  Sidney’s last position was with IUPUI, where he learned a lot about people engagement and navigating higher education. In his free time, he loves to travel all over the US, attend concerts, spend time with family and friends and go out on the Eagle Creek Reservoir as much as possible. Casey's desire to learn and love work has provided Casey with vast experiences in government relations, healthcare marketing, higher education, nonprofits, telecommunications, and even professional sports. When not working, Casey is exploring outdoor murals, reading, hanging out with her 15-year-old son, or walking her rescue dog, Einstein.
